Komatsu has engineered its new WX03 load-haul-dump (LHD) for especially small, narrow vein applications with limited maneuvering space. The OEM said the 3-tonne, diesel-powered machine offers improved performance and electronic controls to simplify training and operation.
The WX03 is built with a high-strength steel frame design and a heavy-duty, all-mechanical powertrain, to help hit production targets while controlling costs. The small-class LHD also features mining grade components, a severe-duty electrical system and collet-style pins to ensure long component life.
To help miners drive toward zero harm, Komatsu designed the WX03 with a ROPS/FOPS-certified enclosure, spring-applied braking system, operation interlocks, three-point mounting, anti-slip steps and hot component isolation. In addition, vital maintenance components are conveniently accessible from the ground level.
The WX03 LHD is customizable to meet operational needs with available options including an automatic lubrication system, ejector bucket, fire suppression system, and quick-attach coupling system.
